RSS (Really Simple Syndication) allows news or specific
website changes of content to be notified without the need to visit a
website. A file within a website supplies the latest feed information
to a RSS reader or aggregator installed on the users PC. With a
suitable reader installed it
is usually only required to enter the RSS feed file URL address into the
reader to subscribe to a feed. A RSS icon is included within websites which links to the RSS feed file. Wayne Kerr has adopted the
icon for RSS.
The Wayne Kerr website home page supports RSS feed identification
and subscription as featured in the beta 2 release of Microsoft©
Internet Explorer 7. |
